Welcome to the METhODS Lab！
Our primary focus is the development of novel computational methods and tools designed to solve complex problems across neuroscience, the biological sciences, and broader natural science fields. Furthermore, METhODS represents our core research pillars: Modeling, Emulation, and Theory for Omics, Dynamics, and Systems.
Our laboratory is based at the Guangdong Institute of Intelligence Science and Technology in Hengqin, situated just adjacent to Macau.
Research Directions
Our research group operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence and the brain/life sciences. By leveraging techniques in artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision (CV), and computer graphics (CG), we develop solutions ranging from neuroscience foundation models to interactive visualization platforms. Our specific research directions include:
- Bioimage analysis
- Neuroscience foundation models
- AI agents for scientific discovery
- Predicting and generating 3D neuronal structures
- Intelligent platforms for interactive visualization and analysis
